BRAMPTON SHINES AT THE NATIONAL SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIPS

C3 Canadian Cross Training in association with the City of Brampton will host this year's Jr National Sprint Triathlon and Age group qualifying race (with 8 spots for each age category qualifying to go the World Championships in Germany).

This is the second year the Professors Lake community of Brampton will be hosting a national title Triathlon event. The City continues to be an amazingly supportive partner in this event.

To have an urban setting for a race and have such an outstanding venue and open water swimming facility is truly unique.

This year’s event will have something for everyone. A Kids of Steel event (age groups 12-13 and 14-15), will be the first in the water followed by Athletes with a Disability (AWAD), the age group race and the ever popular Tri-Cool relay event will follow. Our Juniors will go off in the early afternoon with the Jr women’s race followed immediately by the Men’s race.

Juniors Worlds

New for this year will be a beach start for all events and a two lap run course that circles half the lake and back through transition. An exciting venue for spectators, the Jrs and pros will be running five laps of a 1km run course, so race watchers will see every lead change and challenge up close and personal.

The Tri –cool relay event is back, allowing a 2 or 3 person team to enjoy the event. Sponsored by Kinetico the event has three categories to race in – all women’s team, all men's team and mixed teams.

Professor’s Lake will be transformed into a world class racing venue with grandstands, exciting Transition zones, spectacular finish line and a sports expo for the avid shopper.

C3 the Canadian Cross Training Club has provided the race organizing committee and the energy to put this fantastic day of racing together. So book June 30 th as your day to race, as a solo triathlete or grab 2 friends and make a day of it in the relay event. Seeing our great junior’s race for a national title as future Olympians will be an experience that will make you stand up and cheer. See you in Brampton!
