Help Set a Record:

Riverdale Fitness Mill are graciously sponsoring the first 500 children (15 and under) in the One Mile Run to create a non-cost full running experience for youth. C3 is attempting to create a national record with 1,000+ children participating in one of the day’s events. We challenge you to bring a car load of children (2+ years of age and up) to participate in the one miler or in the 5k event. C3 currently guarantees the first 500 children a free shirt and race experience (and are working on sponsorship for additional free shirts for all children). If C3 are not able to find additional sponsorship for the 501-1000th child, those children will still be allowed to participate for free (but may not get a race shirt). To ensure a full race kit and complimentary child’s race shirt, please register immediately (AND take advantage of the free bike from Gears Bike Shop for anyone registered before Aug 15th).

See the Blue Jays:

Join race organizers, sponsors and elite athletes at the Friday Sept 25th's Toronto Blue Jay baseball game. C3 and the Ontario Lung Association intend on filling one of the 500 Sections of the Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays will be allowing a number of 8 of our runners to be on the field for the 7th inning stretch. In addition the Blue Jays will be highlighting the race and the Ontario Lung Association on the big screen. Anyone who raises $60.00 or more for the Ontario Lung Association will get two free tickets to the Sept 25th Blue Jay Game. Tickets can be purchased at $9.00 per ticket to come and join in the Friday Sept 25th party. Tickets will be handed out at the Sunday Sept 20th race.

Caledon Community Service Food Bank:

Please help the less fortunate.  All children in the Riverdale Fitness Mill are asked to bring canned food for the local food bank in exchange for their free race entry.   Adults in the 5K and 10 Miler are also asked to help us by bringing some canned food with them to the race registration.  A truck will be located near the registration table at Robert F. Hall.

Win the Adjusted Run/Sponsorship Race: To help encourage fundraising, we will have five special awards for the top fund-raiser/running times. The format is simple. For every $50.00 you raise, we will take 30 seconds off your final time. While you may not be the fastest runner, you can have the fastest adjusted time by raising more money for the Ontario Lung Association’s Research and Educational Programs.   Times are included in all races.
Help us by Volunteering: If you can’t run or walk, why not volunteer? Or if you are coming with family and friends we would love to have you assist us in making this experience world-class for everyone involved. If you are able to assist for a few hours during the race (or in the preparation before) please email  Luisa Ruby  ltruby@rogers.com
